Best Practices
Best practices for doing private swaps using Encifher
Step 1: Enter Access Code
Connect your wallet and input your private beta access code when prompted.
This unlocks the private swap interface.
Step 2: Deposit Your Assets
Head to the Deposit section and fund your private vault.
✅ Tip: Always deposit more than what you intend to trade — this improves your privacy set
Step 3: Swap Privately
Navigate to the Swap tab:
- Select the asset you want to swap.
- Choose the receiver address.
- Click Swap — the process takes ~20–30 seconds (we're actively optimising speed 😄).
Step 4: Check Your Assets
Go to the Assets page of the receiver address inside the Encifher app.
Your swapped tokens will be visible within the app, not on public explorers.
❗ Important:
Assets won’t appear on chain until you withdraw them.
This is expected — it’s how privacy is maintained.
Step 5: Trade Again or Withdraw
- You can place another trade from the new private address.
- Or withdraw to any external wallet when you’re ready.
Best Practices for max privacy guarantees
❌ Don’t: Treat it like a simple “deposit → swap → withdraw” flow
This makes your transaction linkable and exposes your identity on-chain.
Example:
Suppose you deposit exactly $4,061.84 from wallet A1
, swap it for 5 SOL, and immediately withdraw to wallet A2
.
Now, anyone analyzing on-chain data can correlate:
- Same amount
- Same timestamp window
- Your original wallet → your new wallet
You’ve just left a trace.
✅ Do: Treat it like a trading venue, not a bank transfer
- Always deposit more than what you plan to trade.
- Mix trades of different sizes over time.
- Use it like an exchange — not like a one-off send-receive wallet.
🕒 Wait before withdrawing
- Allow time for more users and more trades to interact with the system.
- The more activity, the better your anonymity set.
- Delayed withdrawals help you blend in with others.
🧠 Bonus Tips:
- Withdraw to new, fresh wallets if privacy is critical.
- If you're a KOL or large trader, split withdrawals in chunks.
